ESG & sustainability data and reporting

Bringing licensed ESG and climate data together with your own holdings, emissions and stewardship records, so climate, stewardship and client reports come from one governed source instead of spreadsheets.

Pension funds, investment pools and public bodies now report on climate risk, emissions and stewardship to boards, members, regulators and the public. The data usually arrives from several places: one or more licensed ESG and climate data providers, custodian and holdings data, voting and engagement records, and internal estates or emissions data. Reports are then assembled by hand, and the same figure is calculated differently in different places.

We build the data layer and reporting that sit between those sources and the reports. We do not produce ESG ratings ourselves. We work with the data you license, make its lineage and assumptions visible, and give your teams reports and dashboards they can trust and reproduce.

Who this is for

  • Local Government Pension Scheme funds and pools
  • Councils and public bodies reporting on climate and carbon targets
  • Responsible investment and stewardship teams
  • Finance and reporting teams producing climate disclosures
Scope

What the solution covers

Data integration

Licensed ESG, climate and controversy data loaded alongside holdings, benchmark and stewardship data through documented, scheduled and monitored pipelines.

A governed data model

One documented model for issuers, holdings and metrics, with clear rules for matching identifiers, handling gaps and versioning provider methodology changes.

Climate and emissions metrics

Portfolio-level carbon footprint, intensity and exposure metrics calculated consistently, with the method, coverage and data date shown next to every figure.

Stewardship records

Voting, engagement and escalation activity recorded against the issuers it relates to, ready for stewardship and member reporting.

Reporting and dashboards

Board, committee, member and regulatory reports and interactive dashboards produced from the same source, so numbers agree everywhere they appear.

Data quality and assurance

Coverage and quality checks on every load, exception reports for missing or changed data, and an audit trail that supports internal and external assurance.

Provider-neutral design

Built so a data provider can be added or replaced at the next procurement without rebuilding reports.

Secure access

UK hosting, single sign-on through your identity provider and role-based access to data and reports.

Delivery

How we deliver it

This describes how we run work of this type. It is method, not a completed contract.

  1. 1

    Discovery

Current reports, data sources, licences and manual steps mapped with the people who produce and use them, and the reporting obligations and deadlines agreed.

  2. 2

    Data model and methodology

Issuer matching, metric definitions and gap-handling rules documented and signed off before build, so the method is agreed rather than discovered.

  3. 3

    Pipelines and quality checks

Each source connected, with automated coverage and quality checks and alerts when a feed is late, incomplete or changes shape.

  4. 4

    Reports and dashboards

Priority reports rebuilt first and reconciled against the last manually produced versions, with every difference explained.

  5. 5

    Handover and support

Documentation, training for the reporting team and ongoing support, including updates when providers change their data or methodology.

Risks we plan for

Inconsistent figures across reports
One governed data model and metric library that every report draws from.
Provider methodology changes
Methodology versions recorded and changes flagged, so period-on-period movements can be explained.
Gaps in coverage
Coverage reported alongside every metric, with agreed rules for estimates that are clearly labelled.
Dependence on one provider
Provider-neutral design so sources can be added or replaced without rebuilding reports.

FAQ

Questions buyers ask

Do you provide ESG ratings?

No. We do not produce ESG ratings or proprietary ESG datasets. We work with the data you license from specialist providers and build the integration, data model and reporting around it.

Can you work with more than one data provider?

Yes. The data model is provider-neutral, so several sources can be combined, and a provider can be replaced at the next procurement without rebuilding your reports.

How do you handle missing data?

Coverage is reported next to every metric, gaps are handled by documented rules agreed with you, and any estimate is clearly labelled as such.

Who owns the data and reports?

You own your data, models and reports, subject to the licence terms of each data provider. An exit plan and open-format exports are agreed at contract start.
